Jaipur, otherwise known as the pink city was was a delight for our senses. The food there was amazing and we had the good fortune to be able to have a home cooked meal with a friend and his family. We were given great recommendations on where to go and were able to see parts of the city that tourists don’t usually make it to. Experiencing the Amber Fort and getting up close and personal with some monkeys was one of the highlights as well as visiting a friends jewelry shop and seeing how they cut stones and polish and fit them to make beautiful unique pieces. We made some more new friends who live in Singapore while we were having coffee one day and kept in touch as we travelled, they told us if we ever made it to Singapore they would be happy to take us out and show us around. I can assure you we took them up on the offer almost a month later.
